APCM is an acronym comprising the names of Angel Positive Charge Membrane. APCM is a highly efficient sterilization material with a strong positive charge on its surface. It can quickly and actively adsorb bacteria and other microorganisms with a negative charge, disrupt their structures purely through physical means, and effectively deactivate microorganisms. It achieves a removal rate of 99.99% for superbugs like ESKAPE (Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterobacter species). Due to the outstanding performance and potential of ACPM technology, it has gained wide recognition and acclaim internationally. The Geneva International Invention Exhibition Award received in 2022 is a testament to the remarkable achievements of this technology, further promoting its application and dissemination globally.
Background
The conventional method of water purification equipment for removing microorganisms is interception filtration. However, long-term use can lead to clogging issues, including membrane contamination and pore blockage, which subsequently affect water quality and the lifespan of the equipment. Therefore, an additional layer of sterilization material is necessary for protection.
What Did Angel Do
Angel started thinking about a new sterilization material back in 2016. The development of any project cannot guarantee 100% success on the first attempt, and the invention process of APCM sterilization technology is no exception. When it comes to water purification equipment, the materials must be absolutely safe for humans. Therefore, Angel invested a considerable amount of time in the selection of materials. Angel's R&D team conducted numerous experiments and explored countless options until they found the optimal solution.
Over the past seven years, Angel provided strong support to the R&D team. Not only offered talent and financial support but also integrated resources from major universities and water treatment experts for cooperation and joint invention. Moreover, Angel collaborates with China Aerospace Biology to establish the world's first aerospace water purification joint laboratory, developing new sterilization technology. Finally, Angel’s R&D team successfully invented APCM technology.
